Finland has decided to ban Coal based generation of electricity from 2030. Though Canada and Countries in European Union have already started changing from crude-oil and coal based production of electricity to alternate energy sources, only Finland has spoken out about banning such production.

Right now, coal based electricity generation meets 10% of its energy requirements.

Also, Finland has set year 2050 as its target to completely change over to alternate energy sources. Likewise, Countries like Britain, France and Canada have also set targets for increasing generation of electricity from alternate energy sources.
